THANK YOU TO THE COMMUNITY for the 1,600+ pounds of food
that was collected during the Post Office Food Drive this past Saturday. Below are some pictures of how much was collected.


The Blissfield Area Food Pantry is housed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, but run by the
Blissfield Ministerial Association that consists of area churches and their pastors.

The Guidelines for using the Blissfield Area Food Pantry Are:
* You must be a resident of Blissfield, Deerfield, Palmyra, or Riga.
Proof of residence is required and it is limited to one person/family per household/address.
*You must be registered and receiving food assistance through Lenawee County Department of Human Services. Proof of DHS food benefits registration is required.
*The food pantry is open on Thursdays from 9:00am-1:00pm. The registered person must call 517-486-2404 to schedule an appointment during food pantry hours. Only the registered person can pick up the food pantry box.
*You may visit the food pantry once a month, but no more than 8 times during the current calendar year. You need to bring the issued punch card to each visit.
We rely on our congregations in the community for contributions to the food pantry. We do not offer cash assistance with household bills such as rent or utilities. Please keep this in mind when using the pantry. For evictions, medical transportation, utility shut off or other cash assistance requests please contact the Lenawee County Department of Human Services at (517)264-6300, Community Action Agency of Lenawee at (517) 263-7861, or Health & Human Services Needs at 211.
